I believe in the truth of your words, I pray I have the courage to follow thru on my desire to go with you, if indeed you go again!

Powerful postings, Keith. I can relate to your desire to describe and share your experience with others and also the feeling of utter ineptitude at conveying the emotional and spiritual impact. At Smokey Mountain dumpsite in Manila, I feel a gut wrenching ache at the hopelessness of the situation, yet a sense of deep beauty at the same time, as if God's glory is revealed through seeing the perseverance of life amidst ungodly conditions. I pray that when faced with these tough realities, we would all have the courage to push through the uncomfortableness and to sort through the tensions that arise between THAT life and ours and that we choose the clear, crisp, vibrant colors of life and love over the soft comfortable dullness of the world any and every time He asks.

Please keep the people of Manila in prayer - we experienced the heaviest rainfall in 30 years in just a few hours during today's typhoon and thousands are without shelter.

Hope you are experiencing a beautiful autumn in South County - blessings!
